Default Installing new Pipe

Okay guys,

Im going to hopefully install my me new Rinehart 2:1 system this week.

Question: are there any parts that I have to buy from the stealership before starting the job .... gaskets ...ect ....

Just want to make sure that I have what I need before I get started so that I can start and finish all in one night.

Get a new set of exhasut gaskets. I usually get a few extra flange nuts too just in case one disappears.

Yep. Don't over tighten the flange nuts. If you take your battery and battery box out it will make it much easier for the rear flange.

You should do fine. Take your time. I sent my damaged muffler to bikerhaven.net today and they are going to send me a new muffler. Can't wait to get the 2-1's on and dyno'd. Think I'll hang on to my Rinehart Slip-ons for a while just in case I don't like the Bub 7's. They do look good and the quality seems same as Rineharts.

I got my rinehart 2 into 1 from denniskirk.com and it came with exaust gaskets so you should'nt need anything. Great pipes...awesome bottom end torque. You won't be dissapointed.

okay guys, got the exhaust mounted up this weekend and took all of your advice by not over tightening the Flange Bolts ... now, her I am at work ... 20 miles from home with absolutely no flange bolts on the front pipe ... They both backed out !

Is it safe to ride the bike back home ? where can I get more bolts .... if so what size am I looking for ? or should I get the ones from the dealership ?
