Shade tree mechanic
I'm happy with paying the shop to do it. I know it was done right. I'm a pretty good mechanic, but this was something I'd never done. Much rather have it done right the first time vs. going half azzed and cutting it off rather than pulling the primary to do it right. Thanks for the input fellas, can't wait to get more done.

Seriously half-azzed? Sounds like someone needs justify the money they spent . Lol...
Take the plunge and do it yourself
No time like the present to learn something new. After all if you screw up - it's only money (and YOUR bike)
HAHAHA - seriously though, I'm doing mine and I've never done a swap like this before.

I just used the supplied beauty cap on the shifter spline...looks fine to me and can always go back to mids. Supplied do-hickey also holds the shift lever on the inner side so it doesn't flop around. Again, can go back to mids this way. Have fun either way you go!

I left mine in so it could be put back to mids if anyone ever wanted. I pushed it in so its was flush with the primary then used a chrome piece with 3m tape to cover it up.
Took around 30 minutes to get them installed.
