Default Rinehart 2-1

I got that same awesome deal on a Rinehart 2-1 that a couple of us are running now. Questions for you guys that have it:
What fuel mgmt are you using?
Do the pipes feel hotter than hell radiating up between your legs compared to stock headers?
Does decel sound a little like a jake brake?
Does the fact that I'm asking these particular questions most likely mean that my fuelpak isn't giving it enough fuel? I have it set to the proper #s according to V&H for a stock 96 with a high flow filter.
Should I be e-mailing V&H for an adjustment setting? ...or does anyone know how to cheat the #s on the fuelpak?
Am I just paranoid?

By the by, it's running better than it ever has.

PCV here.

42 mpg on the freeway going easy.

Less heat.

No decel popping.

Your right, your FP is lean. Call them up, they are great to work with but it'll never be "just" right. You will get it close though.

I don't have any backfiring or popping, it's just louder on decel. Lean sounds right though. I'll give fp a holler. Thanks

PCV here also, At 88" I was getting 48 on the freeway, no decel pop. Now at 97" I won't know for sure for a couple of weeks. I'm positive the mpg will go down.

I have the bub 7 2-1 which is basically the same pipe .I also have the fp and have the same issues. Ordered the tts last week. I think the fp work fairly well with v&h pipes but gives away alot with others. Worked pretty good with my bss but still wont give as good a tune as some of the other tuners out there. Just my 2 cents.

When i first put on the pipe i had the wrong map, when i accelerated sounded like a deisel truck.

I mapped it (Thundermax) and all is good now.
I get some decel poping here and there but nothing bad.

Pipes run cooler than stock... no more holes in pants..

Let me know how the tts works out for you.

Another thing I was thinking about if FP can't fix it, is adding Xied. Any thoughts on that?

Yea,I have the xieds also. Put them on after the fp and they did help with the heat and low speed surging at constant throttle. Bike does run pretty good but I know it could be better. Im also going to do cams this winter and maybe a 106 kit so I'll need a better tuner anyway. After I put the tts on and do a couple of vtunes I'll post some results.

Update: Chris from Fuelpak said - Try moving modes 1 and 2 to zero, 5,6,7 up a value of 3 each and Mode 23 to 15.

I entered the values and took the bike out for a quick run today. Seems much better.

I just wanted to post this because I've heard them give this same advise to a couple guys with different set-ups. It may be a quick-fix to run a richer mixture all around.
