IBA Saddlesore 2000
This ride is going to be pretty extreme I think.
I'm taking the day off before the ride to get plenty of rest and taking some 5 hour energy with me that seems to work. Also water and some protein bars. We are stopping at a little over the halfway point to camp out and get some sleep. We should get about 6 hours of sleep if our timing is good.

And then we lost 1 guy on a Goldwing with a passenger around Charlotte NC near the end when we hit some thick fog. I hope they made it back ok, I'm not sure what happened to them. We didn't even realize we lost them until we were right outside Emporia Va. They did mention something about just going to Suffolk to get a ending witness for the ride instead of going back to the meetup end point so maybe that's what they did.
The drop outs who for sure didn't finish included 1 guy dropping out about 3 hours into the ride, the other one dropped out about 6 hours until the end. He was so damn tired and weaving on the highway so we pulled over and he finally said he couldn't go on so he got a hotel room for the night.
For those of us who finished we actually completed 3 rides in one. We did 1000 miles in 24 hours, 1500 miles in 36 hours and 2000 miles in 48 hours.
It was a great time and I'm proud to have finished this challenge but damn did it push me to the limit. I will not ever attempt this ride again. I am wanting to do the 50CC (coast to coast ride in 50 hours or less though). So now I have 3 saddlesore 1000, 1 bun burner 1500 and 1 saddlesore 2000 certifications under my belt as soon as this ride is officially certified.

Edit: I just found out the guy we lost in Georgia getting the sandwich did finish the ride by himself. He got back around 1:30am
Tally: 3 Harleys (Ultra, Road King and a Street Bob), 1 BMW and a Honda VTX 1300 completed the ride.
