too windy at 50mph plus, add windsheild?

About the death grip/numb hand thing. I found my factory grips were too skinny for my hand and caused fatigue. I wrapped mine in 1/8th thick leather, suede side out and now they fit my hand better causing less grip fatigue.
In the end, if you decide to ride without it, great, if you decide to ride with it only on the highway, great, if you decide to ride with it all the time, that's great too, key point, your riding, that's all that's important man.
"full face??? what are you a girl! I ride with a beanie and short pants and purposely ride behind old beat up dump trucks just to get the feel of broken glass on my skin at 70 mph. Nothin like it! oh yeah. GOOD TIMES... GOOD TIMES!"
as has been said above. Don't let anyone else tell you what to do. But if you give it some time you will get used to the wind at high speeds and come to crave it. Also, as you become more comfortable with your riding skills at speed you will be able to relax more and loose the death grip. Try to 'force' yourself to relax your hands for now. You will enjoy the ride more.
One little annoyance -- When the windshield is on, I get a whistling noise in my right ear all the time. Well, over 40MPH anyway.
Checked the helmet strap, burned off all the loose threads. No help. Even trimmed the hair out of my ears (family curse). Bought another helmet (cheap one) and it helps a little bit. But it's still there. Like a gnat buzzing your ear.
Anybody else have this problem or is my ear genetically deformed?
Took the windshield off. I'll put it back on if I go on a long trip or if I plan on doing some highway miles. Or when it gets 'cool' down here. But I don't plan on using it a lot. Right now, it's in a pillow case, under the bed.
I don't regret buying it -- At all. When you need one, you need one. But for most of my riding? It'll sit under the bed.
