Sorry I can't help you but, I don't think it would be a good idea to have the license plate lights turn off when you hit the brakes. If a cop saw that you would probably get a ticket. I've even gotten a ticket for having the wrong color for my plate light.
OK guys, so I did some more research, and have an idea.. I don't know if it makes sound electric sense, though from the simplified texts I've been reading it seems to. Please someone with electrical knowledge please give me your input and advice. I have attached some pictures(sorry it's paint) of how I think the circuits I am trying to build may work. They involve using a bosch relay which, via the brake switch already on the bike, will trigger the relay to either feed power to the running mode circuit or the brake circuit.
Please let me know if this will work, or if I am missing anything (ie. inline fuses, etc). Really need some advice on this one.
Since I can't actually see the schematic for how the relay works, I am not sure. Best thing to do is buy that relay and this pigtail...And test it to see if it function as you want.
