2010 WG throttle ?
Yes its sad these days with some dealers and there approach to the job, one of the biggest reasons i try to do my own stuff is i can take it slow and make sure everything is done right.

I am unsure about weather tensioner should be wound up all the time but I have mine tweaked up to have a little bit of pressure on it

I've made a short list of all the unsatisfactory issues from the throttle tensioner to charging me for 2 oil filters and will write a letter to the owner. It seems to be the norm today for businesses to basically disrespect their customers which is too bad for both!
