Need help. Blowing fuse for dash

My buddy has an 06 wide glide and it is blowing the fuse ( 2 times in two trips) for the odometer, speedo, neutral indicator, and fuel gauge. The turn signal indicator does work. Besides this the bike seems to run fine. No recent work or other issues. Any ideas?

My first guess would be some work has been done on the handlebar controls and you have a short there. I did the same thing the first time I worked on my controls, the space in there is very limited and easy to damage a wire.

He did install the chrome switch housings a couple of years ago but since the fuse was effecting stuff related to just the dash and the lights, turn signals, horn, etc seemed to be working fine, I wasn't thinking about that. Something to check though. Thanks

I would suggest taking the dash console off and check the connection
going into the ignition switch.
It's very possible that one of the terminals is or has pulled out and it's shorting to ground poppin the fuse.
