Get what you want, life is short, when you are on your last breathe you will be able to say I did everything I wanted to do and owned the bike I loved! It's only money, life is short, spend it!
I would keep your 07' and mod the hell out of it for the less than the cost of the 2010 or probably what you would lose in the trade in, heck your 07' should almost be paid for.
Ride the 07' until winter and if you like the the color and the black engine of the 2010 then get your tins painted that color, then tear your engine down and do a complete big bore build, crank welded and trued and while you are at it get the cases/covers powder coated black! If you want laced wheels, I'll trade you my laced wheels for your mags and I'll pay shipping both ways or better yet, get yourself some nice custom laced wheels so you can put a 200 tire on the rear.

Ben Franklin said "A penny saved is a penny earned" (notice I'm big on quoting Ben Franklin, today) ... so, no point in buying the first day's depreciation all over again ... i.e., a penny saved ....
I think you should be happy and have what you want ... but, "there's more than one way to skin a cat" in a manner of speaking (don't think that's a Ben Franklin quote), and CB has an excellent point ....
Almost every time I walk into the dealer, I think I'm in love ... usually just infatuation ... the more mods I do to my bike the more fleeting the feeling ....
In fact, I have a kind of plan of action and milestones (or POAM, as they like to say in the military) of mods I want to do with associated cost, prioritized and listed in phases ... sometimes I have been able to move things up on the list due to "specials" or sales or e-bay finds, etc. ....
