2006 bob .
just got my PCIII not installed yet but i am lookin though the softwear i installed .. does this boost the rev limiter ? also i only have slipons but all the maps are for A/C and mufflers .. what map should i go with ? thanks
Good question. I would go with the stock setting one, 811-01. If you had the A/C kit I might go with one of the others, but for this instance I would go with stock 01 then if you are not planning on getting the A/C which I highly suggest, then after you get whatever add-ons you want on (mechanical, make it go faster parts), then go get the bike dynoed. You will be happy either way. Great product!!
Let me just say, I know nothing about this F.I. up grade stuff. What exactly is a PCIII. Is it similar to a S.E.R.T. ? Also are any of them on the market worth while with out a dyno run ?
If you add a K&N filter along with the slip-ons I will say that you should definitely get a remap of some sort. You are taking an already lean condition and by adding slip-ons and filter, the bikes becomes more lean yet. Get a download of some sort to bump up the fuel. Better yet, get a full exhaust, SE a/c and pcIII from fuelmoto.
In response to your question about the rev limiter. If you have the Stage I download the rev limiter will already be set to 6200. If not,the PCIII can be used to change the rev limit.
If you buy your PCIII from Fuelmoto they will preload a map to your specs and their prices were the lowest I found, plus you get a two yr warranty.
