Always wanted a Harley. Got A Night Rod... Then traded it in for my Harley.
I hated that Vrod... Although I do miss the power a little :-)

I just like the look of a Dyna. And to me, a Wide Glide was always the bike I wanted. Factory chopper, lots of chrome, and the rear shocks. My buddy has a softail custom that looks almost identical to my WG, except for the shocks.

I love my bagger but some days you don't feel like dealing with 860# in stop and go traffic. Got the Street Bob for looks, fit, handling, and light weight.

My last H-D was a '69 XLCH. Sold it 33 years ago. I wanted to relive the feeling of riding that XLCH, but felt I'd outgrown a Sportster. Sat on a Dyna at a dealer in Gruene, TX and that was it. Had to have one. It's a substantial feeling machine, but with the sporty characteristics of the Sportster. And the look....

Once I add the forward controls, it'll be there for me!

1) Got an FXD 'cause I'm old school. I think you should be able to see the shocks and have the gauges on the bars (My '67 Sportster, brothers Norton Commando and friends Triumph). I now have a Sportster Speedo/Tach setup on my bike.

2) Didn't like the fact that half of the Softails had one pipe above and one pipe below the passenger pegs. Not great for the passenger.

3) If it looks like a hardtail it should be a hardtail.

At first it was the looks and the entry price. Then all it took was a test ride, and I knew it was just a perfect fit. Out of the box it already looked how I wanted it to. I just bought a bagger to go with it, more for the traveling, and it's going to take a LOT of work to get that thing looking/performing the way I want it!

It was the closest thing available to my old FXRS which I loved.
