2010 fxd rear axle question ???

2010 fxd rear axle question ???
Just noticed the rear axle on my 10 FXD pulls out on the right side ( pipe side). Axle nut is on the left side (primary side). My question is 2 part. First- are all the dyna axles set up like this ?? and Second - Can i switch it around to pull out the left side ?? Obviously I want to switch it so I dont have to contend with the exhaust pipes.

Yes they are all like that and some have switched it around.
I thought about switching mine but wouldnt have been able to torque the nut with out removing the the exhaust or dropping the the shocks anyway so didnt see a good reason.
