I am having a hard time deciding between 2 ape hangers for my '09 Bob. I was hoping for some pics of any bikes having these on them to help me make up my mind:
#1: Chubbys 12-˝"rise, 36-˝" wide, 10" center, 12" pullback.
#2: Chubbys 14" Rise, 36-˝" wide, 10" center, 12-˝" pullback.
Well, this mod ended before it started, at least for now..... Anyone ever inquire at any shops as to how much they charge to change the bars on an internally wired bike? I have gotten various estimates (since this is way more of a job than I can handle myself) and the lowest was $800 in labor alone! The dealer (my last choice) said that it is 8 hours in labor?! Could that even be right?

8 hours labor ? They are trying to beat you , STAY AWAY ! I would say 4 hrs at the most if the mechanic has done it before ....
I did road six 14's on mine on 2" risers, I did the wiring my self, just bought a roll of the same gauge wire, sodder and shrink tube, took my time, did em one at a time, worked out great.
If you do a little research its really not that bad to tackle yourself. Do you have a manual? Take your time, and its way more rewarding.
I think it's about time I did that. Too many criminal dealers and shops in NY to get any work done at a reasonable price any more. I swapped out my headlight for a &'er a few weeks back, while a minor job, the local shop wanted $90 to do what took me 15 minutes with no mechanical training or know how.. Unreal...
