You say it has 16" apes are they internally wired if so you could have a wire shorting out in there.

Did you take the PC out of the system and check how it runs without it? You might want to wiggle/tug the wires that come out of the bars while it is running, they should exit down by the risers and see if it acts up, same with the injector wires, wiggle them while it is running.

just a brief update......Thanks a ton to Jamie and Keith at Fuel Moto. They were a huge help today helping me get things sorted out....
I put a new PC III in today and the bike was revving very high....right around 2,000 rpms! it would idle up and down on its own. The folks at Fuel Moto talked me through a few things, and we were able to figure out that it is not the PC III. The bike briefly threw a code, but then the light went out. I am going to bring it to the shop and have it plugged in and see what the heck the issue is.....
Thanks again to all who chimed in....Ill update as soon as I get it figured out.

Hold down the speedo function button, click the run/stop switch to run and turn on the ignition. diag should appear press the button once and psspt should appear and the P should flash, press and hold the button again until you get a Pcode or None. Post the code.

Well,
Thanks folks for all of the info!!!! We reset the codes, and they have not come back.....We found the problem to be a short in the on/off switch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
