I pulled mine off years ago and put a grade 8 chrome ones in. Never a problem and they look better.

I'm running the stock harley 12"ers on 1" lowering blocks. Best of both worlds IMO; plus it can go back to stock height in about 5 minutes. Might be sumthn to think about if your problem persists with the Progressives..........

Don't know about the 06 and my 07 uses a stud, but the 00 FXDL my gf rides uses these part numbers:

54557-90 Bolt, shock mount
54327-00 Bolt, shock mount (FXDX only)
7845 Locknut (inner side)
7068 lockwasher (inner side)
6113 Washer (both inner and outer side) Uses two on each shock on the outer side, one on each side of the 54708-65A or 54709-00 (FXDX only) Cover, shock bolt
7554 Acorn nut

Hope this is what you need

Thanks Brother! I'll add those to the text file for my flash drive.. If I go the stud set up,. I'm sure that may do it!!

I opened a case with HDCorporate this morning ... the agent tells me "Oh, there is an issue for the 06-07 Dynas. There is a "repair kit" you can have your local dealer order... Part number 49764-06"

So I call my local dealer (HD of Ocean County NJ) ... they tell me they can't order the part it doesn't exist.

But rep @ the local shop told me he'd call corporate (with my case #), and get to the bottom of it.

I'm sure he's a man of his word. Time will tell.

So I heard from my local dealer today... Apparently the "repair kit" you can have your local dealer order... Part number 49764-06 is in fact a JIG that they have to borrow from the HD folks in corporate... to get this ... ream out, and prep the frame for BIGGER Upper Bolts that replace the OEM ones. This is a known issue with the 06~07 Dynas, so the Rep Rebecca told me.

Once I get more info... I'll post it.

The saga continues...

if I'm not mistaken the injectors they installed are 25 degree
the old ones were 8 degree I believe.

Best response here. You might break your back on bad roads or **** for shocks, but you are not going to break a grade 8 bolt.
