I'm guessing he trimmed the head off a case. If so, would that be called a wildcat modification?

Theroy bolts broke due to shock bottoming out. Adjust preload. Learnt something new. Thanks.

It it just the casing of a 38 cal bullet ( not the head ) it was measured and cut to specs , call it a tight sleeve , sorry no photo's the DNA is in the bike now !

My left side top section of my shock snapped off ... bolt snapped IN the frame as well... does anyone have the part numbers for the top shock mount bolts and acorn nuts?

Preload setting recommendations for the stock shocks?

Buddy of mine @ Ironcycles in Jamesburg NJ said in 20 years of wrenching he's never seen that happen.

Sorry i don't have my parts book with me it's my garage on the other side of town , if nobody responds ( which i doubt ) i will get it tonight for you ..
