Default power commander options and suggestions?

I have a 2007 Dyna Superglide and am wondering about a power commander. I thought that only 09 and newer could use the PCV but I saw something about fuelmoto doing a retrofit. Anyone know the pros and cons to the PCV over the PCIII USB? and where i could find the best price on either setup? Thanks guys! Im also going to post this in the fuel & tuning category because im hoping to get one real soon.

Exact same question from me....PC website doesnt explain the "new" features overly well or if there is any great advantage of having a 5 over a III.

I have the PCV on my '05. Jamie from fuelmoto hooked me up with mine and preloaded map. Great to deal with, just call him. as for the pros and cons i know the V is smaller than the iii and believe me , it is still a bitch to make space for it. As for the rest of the pros/cons Im sure someone else will chime in as I'm really not sure.

With the PC V you can get the auto-tune. I've had the PCIII and now the PC V w/auto tune. I never had the PCIII tuned because I am always changing things up, so it never ran great. With the auto tune it runs awesome. I put a set of cams in and it tuned the motor in three rides. I'm already gonna change cams again and don't have to worry about dyno tuning.

I forgot about that JB. I was told that you have to have O2 sensors for the autotune to work, makes sence since they are in your exhaust. My 2005 doesnt have O2 sensors so if your bike doesnt have them then the autotune is not a benefit,(ie,wont work) however if it does it is certainly an awesome way to go. I also believe that since I had my bike dyno'd in Jan or feb when it was real cold,20 degrees or so, that it is not spot on now that the temp is in the nineties. It still runs good but has a lot more decel pop than it did when it is cold. Heavy, dry cold air vs moist warm air changing the afr?, so autotune should really shine with ever changing weather conditions. Sorry if I got the thread off tract.

You could get O2 bungs welded in your exhaust, then your in business!

I seem to remember reading that for the old Power Commander you needed to hook a battery to power it?

Whichever you decide on make sure you use dielectric grease on the connectors. I washed my bike a couple of weeks ago and PCV got wet and messed up on me. They're sending me another one this week.

Only if the bike is not running (9 Volt).
