I've the best of both worlds a 2002 superglide, built up for two riding and a 2005 Lowrider for solo rides. The bikes ride differently because of the frame but you'll the love the L/R. By the way, get ready to open your wallet to keep your passenger happy.

i recently bought my first harley, 2003 lowrider, and my gfs a small girl admittedly, but she finds the seat very comfy as a passenger, and the ride very smooth. also i love the bike and have no regrets at all about choosing a lowrider. plenty of pull, plenty of sound, plenty of style, just the right amount of chrome

Thanks for the advice. I have this bike, a 2006 white FXDL with 4k for asking $10,900 and a 2004 electra Glide Standard (black) with 5k asking 11,900 to check out this week. I'll keep in mind the tire issue with the 2000. I figure I should move while the little lady is receptive to a new ride!

2006 issues
I've learned from this site that there are problems with 2006 inner primary bearings, apparently. It may have to do with a lack of dowel pins locating the primary to the gearbox shell.
