Had a Street Bob but sold it. Nice bike did not have a lot of time to ride, and my wife did not like the ride on the rear of the Bob, to many vibrations from the footpeg.
I will only ride the bike to work ocassionally on nice days during the fall and winter and a few times a week during the spring and summer. It only three miles to work and you wind up riding the bike up and down back alleys just to get it warm enough to turn it off and not have water condensing in you oil. My wife and I will take short one/two day trips a few times a year during the summer.
Is there anything I should look out for when buying a used Electraglide. I found a nice looking 2000 that I will look at tomorrow. He is asking 10K which seems a little high. From the pictures a very clean looking bike.
The things to ask about/look out for are the cam chain tensioners if they were not changed or upgraded to something different and possible cam bearing issues depending on when your bike was built
Thank you. I read about the cam tensioners. It is a low mileage bike (20K) so I will check on that. Have a good mechanic here that I will pay to check the bike out.
