Ordered some Ricor Shocks for my Street Bob. Just wondering how long others had to wait. Placed my order on May 26th. Got an email back June 24th that they were almost ready to ship and the balance needed to be paid. I paid the balance that day, I even chose 3 day select in hopes to get them quicker when they ship, still waiting. Is this what others have experienced? I guess I should have bit the bullet and ordered them in March to make sure I had them for the summer.
I know I am just impatient. I am sure once I have the shocks in hand and install them I will be just fine with how long the wait was.
Coldcase:
Wow, that is not good to hear. I sent an email right after I ordered to see what the current wait is. They said currently about 3 weeks before they are ready for delivery. I'm over 5 weeks now. I guess since yours took about 6 weeks after they were ready for delivery I may have another 5 week wait. Ugh
By email, they usually responded with the three week answer, but I suggest calling them if you don't have them in hand three weeks or so after you paid the final installment, just to see if yours fell through a crack.
About the same time line, I think he makes them in batches once they have all the parts machined. I had orginally ordered 11 inch, and about 1 week before they said they were going to ship, he suggested 12 inch. I am really glad he did as I dont see a large difference. You will love the ride! Don

Yes.. please give Brian a call for an update. I know we had some within tolerance aluminum tubing shipped but not within tolerance for our needs and we had to get a hone we had purchased, but never had really needed to use before up and running to get everything within our spec. Just an upset like that threw us back a week. We do machine the common parts in adavance as we can but nothing is assembled or built in advance of the order. We do not have any off the shelf shocks ready to ship. Every shock we ship is custom built to your specifications... too many variables in the shim stack tune, size of the shock and springs to allow us to do that. Sorry for the delay, but we guarantee you will be happy once you have them... with all the parts involved one little hiccup causes frustrating delays for us also.
Hang in there with us.. you are dealing direct with the manufacture, no middleman/distributor mark up and we are operating on a very small margin to make the best shock we believe you can buy at a competive price to the mass produced ones.
I ordered my two and a half weeks ago, Brian emailed me saying 3 weeks til ready to ship from order date. We'll See, haven't heard anything yet. can't wait but then again, I gotta cough up the rest of the dough once they email for shipping, lol.....

I'm definitely going to hang in there. I was just curious what time frame it took for others to get theirs. I do understand how delays can happen especially when they aren't being mass produced.
