I need a new back tire for my Fat Bob and dont want to break the bank doin it!The dealership wants $300 for the tire, so thats kinda a little to much.Im installing it myself, so any suggestions of where to get some tires that last longer than 10 000 miles would be great!thanx
Good luck finding a tire like that. You may get the miles, but you lose traction. Cheap tires are cheap, quality tires are expensive, but isn't your life worth it? No offense, but that's a part of owning a sled that many people forget about, and if you can't afford tires, this may not be the hobby for you.
10'000 miles! I wish mine lasted that long! I'm only averaging about 5k. Shop around j&p cycles, dennis kirk, motorcycle-superstore. One place I won't buy tires from is drag! I got my last rear tire from j&p and drag was almost $80 more!
I have NEVER heard of the dealership being the best place to buy stuff!if they price tires the same way they price the oil change, well, then i can find a better tire for a better price!I am looking for some suggestions on tires that that might be better than the one i have and might get a few more miles out of.I understand that softer tires has better grip on the road, but i might go for a little bit of a harder tire to try and get some more miles out of it. o yeah, and i am taking offense to ur comment, who r u to say who can afford the hobby or not!!!No, i dont have the most money in the world, but i love ridin, and i work pretty hard to try and keep my bike. It is a great hobby and for you to say that only people with money can afford it, well, that bugs the crap out of me!!!!

Thats a good one! For some, its just a hobby, but for me its my life style, my main sorce of transportation.
yup, $300 bux for just the tire. I think Harley had the tire spcially made for Fat bob, apparently it has the "aggressive treads". I could care less bout that tho.Thanx for the suggestions
