Default T-bar installation on a 99 FXDWG..help!!

I have a 99 wide glide. I bought a set of T-bars 8 inch rise 6 inch pullback. Can i put these on or do I have to buy anything else. If anyone has instructions on this swap I would greatly appreciate it.

open your workshop manual and follow instructions to disassemble, then do the reverse with new bars.

as long as the risers match the trees you should be fine, with your wide glide having mini apes the lines and cables should be good to go aswell

Thank you guys.. I do have the mini apes . so the cables will be long enough..but what about the front brake line..Its a hard line with only a 4 inch rubber splice between the 2 hardlines. it wont kink up ?

I will post pics of before and after as soon as i figure out how. I just found the WG in a garage of a 71 year old man. it hadnt been ridden since his wife passed.he put new tires on it front and rear ,battery, brakes and had the oil changed at 10.000 miles I got it with 10.424 on it for 7K it runs great but spits back through carb when slowing down once in awhile.

Just slide the controls off complete and slide them on the new bars unless you want to internally wire them it is about a 30 minute job. Don't take the controls apart.

Oh and cover your tank with a thick towel or blanket so you don't scratch it.

Just to add from experience ( although mine was a FXD) ....all wiring on the dyna's are fine for length for most applications ( up to 14" apes from what i've attempted) but i recommend you get a braided front brake line regardless.....over the last 5 yrs i've have 8+ different style of bars on my dyna, keeps it fresh , i was very happy once i got the braided line on there as you get alot of room to play around- plus removing all the metal thin line garbage cleans up the front end! Take your time removing all of the brake lines on the bike....hook the new one up and take your time bleeding it once the res is full again.....and have the shop manual on hand

you will need a braided brake line. i literally just finished the same swap on my 97 FXDWG 10 min ago. the stock metal/rubber line is too long to work with the T-bars. i got a new line from HCC for $43
