The Norton fufilled my need to be different. It did get lots of attention and when I sold it I actually got $1000 more than my asking price. I was surprised at how many people still want them.
Still, I don't miss draining the lower crankcase and refilling the oil tank if it sat more than a week, but the carb ticklers were always fun.

Yup...Me back in yester year... long ago I had a '72 Triumph Trident.. That vibrated so bad if you idled while on dirt you'd leave a 6" tire print front and back of the front tire... I know about the gas leak by... But, man those bikes handled great... But, always wanted a Snortin' Norton'... their still cool bikes... Some guy recently tried to revive the Norton name but folded I guess....
