The idiots head or thumb after you cut it off.
If it's not too bad I used Scratch Doctor by Nu Finish on a car and it worked pretty good.
Try some lite compound.

There is only one thing in more quantity than @$$holes and that's the $h!T that comes out of them. I am sure it was some idiot who felt b/c they couldn't have one, no one should enjoy what they work hard for.

try a paint supply store... i always use 3M finesse-it buffing compound. it works great, just put some on a cloth and rub it on until it dissapears

I had a rock from a dump truck on the interstate take an eraser sized chip of paint off the front of my tank a few months ago. The chip was right down to the black undercoat. Pretty easy fix. Had some touchup paint made up at the local auto paint store plus bought the matching clear coat. Spent a bit of time filling the chip with an air brush and lightly sanding the paint level. Zaped it with the clear and buff.

I've always been weary of compounds. Especially with harleys. The paint scratches so easily. I have a million really fine clear coat scratches on my tank, and it's damn near impossible to remove them. But I'm afraid if I used compound, instead of having very fine (hard to see) scratches, I'd have dull spots, which are much more noticable.

I bought the HD swirl and scratch remover. You can rub that stuff on paint as hard as you can and it won't dull the paint. It doesn't remove all the scratches, but it does a decent job nonetheless. I say give that stuff (or something similar) a try first, and then move onto a compound if you have no luck with it.
Good luck man.

Not too well man. Try eagle one 'never dull'. That seems to clean up chrome and other metal bits really nicely.

Just make sure you take a mature way to settle this.yea i mean u wanna make sure u get the right guy so when that bar is packed u fill the back of a rented u-haul truck with gas, TnT, and some nitro. aim the truck towards the bar tie off the steering wheel with manila rope or an old pair of ur old ladies panty hose, ah hell some jerk off touched ur bike go ahead and use a new pair if u have to. anyways jam a stick on the gas pedal and sit back and watch the fireworks. make sure u bring ur glock 9mm in case a few stragglers run out dressed in a fire suit.
