Spoke with my tech today and he told me that the FuelPak on my 2010 Bob is a "very tight fit" and that it could get damaged = meaning it could fail and I get stranded.
Anyone have one on a 2010 Bob? Any truth?
I was thinking about running some fuel management and I have the V&H pipes, so I thought it would work best.
Any add on module is a tight fit on a dyna but many have done it. But as I always say, you have a sophisticated 2010 bike there, spend another $100-$200 and do a tune that bike deserves with something like the TTS tuning kit, you will be happy you did. If you only race, it doesn't matter much, but if you do a lot of driving on the street think about TTS. Just trying to save you from the mistakes many of us made in our youth
There's room for it, have to move things around. It takes some time. Seems like it was a tighter fit getting the fuelpak in my FXDB than when we put one in my buddies FXDC, and we did his first...so you'd think experience would have made mine easier.
I installed a Fuel Moto EFI Tuner under my seat last week. It was a VERY tight fit but I got it to work. Fuel Moto recommends installing behind the electrical box for easy access but I didn't feel safe installing there.
Is water an issue with these? I ride year round (weather permitting) so I get wet and I occasionally wash her (not very often). Will it short?
If I don't like it, can I take it out and will the computer "revert" back to the original map, or will I have to take it back to the dealer to fix.
Thanks.
If you take it out it will go back to factory settings. I'm not sure why you wouldn't like it? If your bike isn't running right you can re-tune it yourself, just need to get different codes if the ones loaded aren't doing it.
