I have a 03 lowrider and am thinking of getting the plate laydown kit with the relocation of the tail lights. My question is, how tough is it to re-wire for the tail lights? The kit I am getting will be part # 60215-06.
Thanks in advance
It's not that hard if you use a motorcycle lift (Sears, etc.) to lift the bike up so the rear tire hangs so you can get your hands between the fender and the tire. Have some extra wire in case the existing wires are too short, mine were and I had to make a trip to the store.
Do a search of the forum, this has been discussed many times with imput from others.
Well for less than it cost for harleys kit I had a guy at my local shop drill my fender next to the tail light and mount the signals there without the stalks and with a little spacer I think it looks cleaner than the kit.Now when I get a stand I'll lay my plate down even further by loosing my laydown kit the bike came with and bolting it directly to the fender for free.
