I too hated the Buckhorn bars. I used 5.5 riser with 1 inch back and Duece bars. The bar "tips" are very near the same place as Buckhorn bars, but the angle at the grip is much like a drag bar for wrist angle, while high enough to be comfortable!
Attached pic:
The first is with the Duece bars and the second is the "stock" buckhorn. You can see they are near the same height with different grip angles.
Question: Did you have to change out any wires/cables to install the riser/handle bar?........I need to change out mine too. Do you have any p/n's?
I got mine last October. Love it. Sometimes I pine after the Street Bob but then I see my bike and know it's the one. Bike looks nothing like the sig pic, lots of mods. I recommend the Rush 1.75 mufflers for a nice tone and a bit more powah. Also the buckhorns fit me like a glove, so....
As far as the front end vibe, once the Scorchers wear out, I'll put on some Dunlops.
