Default Kickstand Paranoia

My kickstand seems sturdy enough, but if it did break it would be a disaster. Any experiences with kickstands breaking on a Dyna?

Never heard of it happening either, but like anything else, I guess it could happen.

You can't be serious. What would happen if all 4 wheels on your car fell off at once while you were on the highway?

I think it's far more likely that you get in a hurry and forget to put it down altogether...

Guy told me about his wife doing that at a rally once. The next time they rode somewhere she asked him where she should park her bike - he said, "you can just lay it down over there in the grass"

Yep! The GF's 87 FXLR had a problem. No so much with the stand as the bracket holding it. The holes in it wore out to an elongated shape, causing the stand to do an unnerving double drop as you put the bike down on it. Had to be welded up and repaired. Mind you this was after many years of use.
