Default 1994 Dyna Ouestions

Can someone tell me or show me with pics which plug is the oil drain & which is the trans drain plug. Also is the allen plug on the side of the trans where you pour the oil in it?

If you want the exact answer, look into a service manual.

I'm not sure how it is on your bike but i have a 99 dyna and the trans plug is under the pan. The oil plug is in front of the pan, parallel to the ground (right behind the cross member on the frame) and to put new oil in, i pull the dipstick and pour it in there.

The front plug is the oil and the rear plug is the tranny. PA-LEASE!!!!!...be advised, the 90's Evo Dyna's have the worst oil pans/tanks in history. You CANNOT crank the oil plug tight. You only snug it up. If you even try to tighten it like you would any other vehicle from a toyota car to a Shovelhead, you'll strip that plug. Its a god awful design. If you have a spare O-ring, you should change that as well.

The allen plug on the tranny is to fill the tranny and the oil dipstick is to fill the motor oil.

Greetings,
Folks, this post is a good example of how you are supposed to be: Help a fellow biker.
Some forums I visit, the first thing they spout is: Buy the freeking manual you moron....

I will second the motion on the drain threads....mine stripped and I had to install a first oversized drain plug from the auto supply.

Where were you before I stripped mine. Hahaha Got a new oil pan though.

Definitely change the "O" ring gasket - will help to ensure little to no leaking / drips.
