Well I spent several hours each day this weekend prepping and painting a new Night Rod fairing . Only to find out it wont fit over the head light mounting bracket on a Wide Glide . At least it wont on my '07 . Other than cutting it , which I plan on doing , it wont fit .
I bought my nightrod fairing from Zannotti's and it came with a narrow mounting block so I didn't have to cut anything.
Mine did too . But the bracket on the back of my headlight is waaaay wider than the narrow block . Also , my headlight is a good deal larger than the mounting cup . Can you post a pic of how you mounted yours ? I already cut the cup and it still WILL NOT fit ! Also , what is the part number of your fairing ? Perhaps there is a different cup , or kit all together . ???
I had to get a headlight housing that fit a lowrider for $40 off e-bay. After that it fit like a glove. The WG headlight would not fit at all, too deep. I bought a stock bottom mount headlight housing for a Low Rider off e-bay for $40. Fit like a glove after that. Any bottom mount headlight off a FXD or FXST or older WG should work.

I would have thought a Wide Glide headlight would be the same as a Super Glide. Mine fit like a glove, with no modification. I did have to cut it to fit around the speedometer, but that had nothing to do with the headlight.

That's what I thought ....Wrong . But I made it work anyways !
