Default Shell sizes

Alot of guys have complained of the fairly large profile of the Bell shells. Does anybody have an XL sized melon with one of these lids on they can post a picture of??

I got the glossy black Bell. I use it when doing the highway trips instead of the half helmet, brought the wind noise down to a tolerable level. There is no padding in the ear wells so you can still hear pretty good. Someone asked about he Fulmer, my wife has the Fulmer gold flake. Good quality, fits her well, looks good too. She really likes it.

Since we have to wear helmets in NYS it's nice to have a few in your collection. I am digging the STUNT as well WAY RETRO.

I've had my 500 Soul for several months now and have logged a few miles with it. Mine is a LG for a 23" head and fits comfortably.

The helmet is quieter than a 1/2 shell but not as quiet as I thought it would be. The hollowed out area around the ears makes the wind howl in my ears. I cut some foam padding to fill the open space and covered it with terry cloth, it helped a little but it's still louder than a full face helmet I have.

After a couple months the helmet did loosen up a little but it didn't hurt the fit, it's still very comfortable and handles wind blast better than my other helmets.

I definitely like the helmet and get a lot of comments from people on the "old skool" look.

I originally order a large for my head 23 5/8" I returned it for an XL. with the large it didnt feel like my head would fit all the way "in" the helmet. The XL does feel better from that perspective. My wife says it looks better as well as it doesn't seem to site as high on my head.
