That is exactly what my first front tire looked like when I saw the issue. This is a known issue that Harley knows about and nobody should have any problems getting one replaced as long as your tire falls with-in the batch numbers that are know to be the bad batches.
The problem is actually caused by tires that were left in the molds too long.
Keep an eye on your back tires also, mine has just started to do the same thing at 5000 miles. I went to see my dealer and guess what.............Same known issue with rear tires. I am getting a new rear tire when I decide that I want it. My dealer was cool enough to tell me to run it out a little longer and then get it when I want it.
I have had my 10 Glide for about 3 months and now have 4000 miles on it. I don't see this happening to mine and I ride pretty hard. Tires have a lot # on them to track where and when they are made. It could be a bad batch or group of batches. Also, it can tell you how old they are. Some tires sit for years before they actually make it to the tarmac. I will look into this tomorrow and report back....

Can you pleas PM me the name of your dealer and service manager so that I can get mine replaced. My service manager said that would be the easiest way for my issue to get resolved. Damn when are they going to issue a recall? I would sincerely appreciate it. Regards
I actually just looked and they are just starting to do it....my dealer is 2 hours away too. I wonder if the one right down the road will help me out...lol.
Not seeing this issue on my 2010 WG with 5k. Hoping it doesn't happen!
I didn't think mine was doing it until I looked real close....it's barely visable but it is starting....I have a trip planned for next weekend. I will make the trip and then confront my HD Dealer about the issue.
I have the same problem here as well. The dealer said they would replace the tire but I would have to pay labor!!! Are you freaking kidding me??? $80 I'll have to pay...TOTAL BULL SH*&T

The bike is still under Manf warranty. You do not have to pay anything!!! Its a defect! Actually in the end as long as HD stored the tires properly they will be getting reimbursed from Dunlop! Tell your dealer to Ef Off if they try and charge you!
