Primary OIl Seal
Does Harley recommend a GL-5 rated lubricant in the transmission?
Is there brass and copper or any other "yellow metals" in the Transmission
I know this all sounds like I am completely clueless but I'm new to this and just looking to learn a thing or two, and keep the un-necessary repairs to a minimum.

Sounds like you don't want to do the due diligence yourself, but would rather someone else did it for you. Everyone including your Harley dealer can make recommendations on oil choice. Your own research will help you make the right choice for your own bike. Good luck w/ that.
PS, I changed the engine and primary oil, all went well, I replaced the o-rings but the gasket looked like the new one so I reused it, I didn't do the tranny oil cuz I am still wondering which would be the best to use.

You will get opinions on what other people think is best.
With that said, I am using Mobil 1 75W-90 Gear Oil
Check this thread out, and you'll get a pretty good idea what most people are using. As you can see there are lots of options.

Tests have shown that GL-5 rated gear lubes mostly just discolor yellow metals any way.
I put Mobil 1 75W-90 in my transmission and I'm not going to lose a second's sleep over it. It is, afterall, MT-1 rated. So it should be fine. I've also heard of people running it for tens of thousands of miles in Harley transmissions with no issues.
IMO, Exxon Mobil isn't recommending their Mobil 1 GL-5 gear lube for transmissions probably because they don't want to test it in the hundreds of transmissions out there. And most of them have synchronizers in them. So yeah, the GL-5 additives WILL corrode them -- In theory.
But I can't think of any brass, copper or brass in a Harley tranny. I think Buell had the stator in there. I think. And that would be full of yellow metals.
There's a lot of companies out there recommending their 75W-90 synthetic, GL-5 rated gear oils for Harley transmissions. I suspect that Exxon/Mobil just hasn't gotten around to testing it specifically on Harley trannies yet.
They may never.
It took the MoCo, what? Three centuries to discover synthetic oil?
