I have the new Rigid Lockable HD Bags and was wanting to have a luggage rack for trips, as I ride with a solo seat. I also have the rigid rack with detachable pillion that I use for other stuff strapped to when on trips. I figure, with a removable rack I can pack more crap, like the all important beer cooler! Now I'm wondering if the detachable plates will mount with the rigid rack and my bags???? Any Ideas??

 

The detachable docking points mount on the outside of the strut, between saddle bags and strut cover. The rigid mount add-ons mount between strut and fender. I don't see why you couldn't do that, other than maybe a slightly longer bolt to take up for the added depth caused by the detach equipment and rigid equipment.

I have a detach backrest mounted with rigid mounted saddlebags. No issue at all.
