The wild ones bars I ordered are pretty high, which I don't like...they are no where close to the carlini bars I wanted, I'm a little worried I won't like them. It looks like the pull back is all in the grips and not the risers...From the pictures I have seen they look really high with not a lot of pullback in the riser area...I'm having buyers remorse now.
THat may be because you're going through the dealer. There are plenty of online options to save you a bunch of cash which includes installing them yourself.
That is some of the cost, I am on the fence about installing the bars myself. I would not have the time to install the bars for a little while and my back says get this done right now. The bar installation from my research will take approx 8+ hours because I have to replace the clutch wire which means dropping the exhaust, etc. It would take me atleast a month to find the time to work on the bike (baby cooking in the oven). I always strip a nut or two . They gave me a quote of 600.00 to install the bars and they would get it done in 2 days. If my bike is down for a month or two, I can pretty much forget about the rest of the riding season. Unfortunately I don't know anyone that I trust to help with the install so I would be doing this solo. Most of my friends are car guys so they are pretty much clueless. Alot of the cost also comes from the few extras that I might as well do now to get the bike looking halfway up to my expectations.
If I don't ride my bike, I can't ride HOV, it adds about 30-45 minutes onto my commute. Seems like the best money I could spend really.

Just send them back, or cancel the order if you have time and get the Carlini's, your baby is no place to make compromises. I was starting to look forward to seeing pics of them drag bars on your bike!
You know how you get your mind set on one thing and that's all you can think about and you know it will look great on your bike! Then you order something else and you just can't see it cause you're already set on something else?! Maybe I just need to wrap my head around it?
I bought a set of bars once that I knew I just had to have. I opened them and just sat on my bike for like an hr holding them in various positions and decided NOPE didnt like them. Now I am in the same boat again. I want a new set of bars and have no clue where to start. I believe the best thing you can do is research as much as you can and get what you believe will work for you. Hold them up on your bike and if you like them . Then and only then buy the accessories to fit them. This way if you dont like them you can send em back, not waste money on accessories to fit them, and if you do like them you can use weedeater string routed how you want the cables/lines routed and get more accurate measurements as well.
Now as far as buyers remorse.... Does anyone need a 21 x 3.25 rim?? Its NEW

Reading this thread make me tread even more careful with my new bar purchase. Definately will go the riser + bar route so I can make more adjustments. But those one-piece sweeps do look really cool!

I think the wild ones don't look half as good as the Carlini's, this thread now has me thinking about a set of the Cars. I don't think that you would be happy with those wild ones.
I just got off the phone with carlini, I ordered the super sweeps with the 11.5 pullback and the 1.5 inch bar, I got the last blems they had for $245, $45 more than those wild ones and so frickin worth it.
