Default Carlini bars

I finally gently persuaded my husband (don't ask how) to let me buy carlini bars for my wide glide. The stock bars just suck and my back kills me! I do not understand what it means when it says 9 inch rise 11.5 inch pullback. I get the rise but is the pullback the entire amount of lift and pullback you get? I have 6 inch risers on there now and I am fine with that amount of rise so I don't want them too high, but I want to know if these bars are going to be too high and too far back. I only need about 3 inches back towards me for better comfort..any input?

Pullback is the amount the bars bend back towards the rider. The lower the number, the straighter the bars.

I have the exact bars and the 11.5 inchs of pull back is the distance from the front of the T-Bar part back to the end of the grip.

I love the bars but keep in mind yours will be a little lower than mine because of the extra rake on the WG.

Did you have to buy anything extra or fancy for those bars? They are the 1.25 inch bars right? Will my stock grips, switches and that go back on normal?

Luv, HD standard is 1" grips/controls. That will never change. The handlebars will step down to 1" to accomodate them.

Yes all the stock stuff works fine they are tapered down to 1 inch at the controls.

Because of all the rise and pull back I did have to extend my wiring about 6 inchs to reach. You may not have to since yours came internally wired (mine didnt) they may be long enough.

Can you give me the link to buy all the cables and wires? Do the bars just attach right to the tree?

I used my stock clutch and brake cable ( brake cable took a little reworking ). I went with +2 on the throttle and idle cables but yours may be long enough, I would wait and see. I bought the cables at my local Indy and just used the same gauge wire to extend it.

Yes they bolt to the trees. I did replace my bushings with poly bushings as well.

Sweet! I'm hoping these will come back a lot farther so I can lean back a little instead of straight up and slightly forward....

I just put Carlini's on my WG 2010. The 1.5" look much nicer than the 1.25 but that is my preference. I went with the same height as stock (5" rise) so I now lean forward a bit more.

Looks like those Super Sweeps go much farther back so they may be just the ticket for you.
