mine reads less but i never use the gauge always go off of mileage. Lifts the tank off the top of motor and helps in cooling the engine. Plus it looks bad ***!!!!

I had my last softail lifted and got more compliments on it than any other thing I did. Thousands in parts and the $30 tank lift was constantly getting attention.

I have noticed (other than the gas issue, which I corrected by recalibrating mileage usage and the fuel capacity in my head).

That more air flows across the top of the cylinder-heads (hey, that can't be a bad thing now can it), and that the redirected air flow over the top of the tank helps in not having a direct force of air in my face (it is more directed to or over the top of my helmet).

So besides looking good it has some aerodynamic features that I consider a positive outcome.

Side Note: Mileage may vary so use your own judgment whether or not it is good for you and or worth your time to make this small adjustment to your Mo-chine.............

ps: the picture does not reflect the tank lift at this point in time (pictures of further modifications to the bike are forthcoming)

Lifted mine 2.5", gas gauge reads less (just read trip odometer) Looks is what it's about and the extra cooling is an un-noticable benefit.
