Hi folks,
Have a new 2010 Wide Glide and looking for an easy way to remove that silly reflector hanging off the rear fender. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Removed the reflectors on mine by squirting a little Goo-B-Gone behind them and then just working them off by hand. Cleaned up with a little windex and good to go. no evidence they were ever there.
There are quit a few ways to do this. And you will find lots of threads on this if you search.
My favorite way is to use a hair dryer to loosen the adhesive and peel it off. If you are patient you can get all of the adhesive off without needing to use any adhesive remover.
By the way, when you are dome with the rear fender, dont forget to get rid of the ones on the forks.
I've heard dental floss and "goo be gone" also..mine are still in place. Don't know what the laws are here or if they are required equipment in Korea. They don't bother me so they stay...for now.

i actually added reflective tape (3m black) - invisible during the day, bright white at night (silly me for trying to be more visible)
but when I put my rigid rack on the stbob I used floss to cut through the foam tape (very easy) and googone for the residue (it won't hurt the paint). Then rubbing alcohol to remove the googone. (I put the red reflectors back on after the rack was installed - can't hurt and don't care if they aren't cool)
When I removed the reflector from the rear of the fender, I simply applied pressure forward, toward the tire and it slowly peeled away; no fishing line, no chemicals. As for the other 4 reflectors, floss or fishing line and some goo gone. Too easy.

Exactly! Grab it, slightly push forward, it comes right off.
