I scuffed my cowbell cover with 100 grit. Washed with Acetone, dried, and painted 3 coats of Krylon Grill Paint. Looked awesome, matched my flat black really well.
The only issue is the paint just isn't very durable. Is there a better grill paint? Brand?
Yeah.. I will probably move it. Didn't want to use liner paint. I wanted a finish like the tank, and it did match, but it just wasn't durable. Thought about baking it to see if it would help the grill paint seal.
Moving it to the front of the frame is an option as well.

Guess I scuffed them to much. The became invisible like pcbunn's horn. LOL. Just took some, and I am putting them up now.
You can see that there are some blemishes. I should have waited 24 hours before messing with it, and will probably go back and do it again. I used 3 coats flat black, and 2 coats grill paint. This helped a lot with the texture, and durability, but I fubbed it up somehow. There is a lot of dust right now so my bike is pretty dusty.

Small skull is a disk brake stick-on from HD. Dealer should have one hanging on the display wall. After I relocated the horn that engine mount bracket needed something beside a hole so I just stuck it on and held it on overnight with a clothespin until the sticky dried good. Been on eversince.
I like how most of this has nothing to do with my thread. Awesome! You guys know how to personal message each other? It is simple, and you do not even talk over anyone.
