Early TC88 are a really good machine and despite the hysteria they are a solid engine. The carb models are my personal favorite as they are the step up from Evo, not a fashion item with massive rubber and remain an affordable everyday bike. The cam chain tensioner concerns are way overrated, they do require inspection at major service intervals though, and if required you can upgrade the entire cam chest to 2010 specification for minimal $.
Stay away from heavily modified frames as part of the appeal of the Dyna range is its handling. A rake like that defeats it all.
