Hey guys I picked up a used fuelpak for $35 the other day. I thought it was a good deal so figured give it a try. It didn't come with any instructions or the box, can anybody speak for installing one of these on a bike with the security system? I don't want to go unplugging things and end up screwing something up on my bike.
1. Go to V&H website and enter your info for the correct map
2. Depending on what your riding will depend on placement
3. A Fp only piggybacks your ecu you really cant screw it up
4. I believe you can DL instructions from their site also
5. It should not affect your security at all (ive installed many of these with NO issues
Yeah I already downloaded the map I need, I just need to enter it in when I get the thing hooked up. I was just hesitant to unplug something because of the security system and have it locked out or something like that, it didn't look like the bike they were installing on in the V&H dyna installation video had the security system
I'm going to give it a try tonight, thanks for the reassurance, I'm not new to wrenching but new to wrenching on this bike. I'll try to get some pics up soon of some new stuff on the bike, finally bought myself a camera.
Ok...you're obsessing about something you don't need to. I don't have a fuelpak, but I did install a pcIII on my '07 w/security. zero problems and I had to do the same thing you're going to do.
