Hey everyone, I've got a vivid black 2010 Wide Glide and like a lot of us, want more black. I want to do the fork sliders, maybe the triple clamps, etc. Should I paint them or powder coat them? I wonder what the standard method is? I guess paint could look better, but powder coat would be more durable?
ha ha ha powder can look just as good if not better than paint! plus it is way tuffer!
of course i do powdercoating so i have alot to say to back it, but we also paint in the shop, i would recomend powder 100%
check out our website www.thepowderpro.com
and you can see what we can do wiht powder in the gallery
we have a special for HDF members where we do the tripple trees and fork lowers for $150
I actually used JRK5892's write up for painting the lower fork legs and battery cover strip with appliance paint, and it turned out great.
i did the same painting on my lower legs and battery band, also have some powder, i think its all about location, u can get away with paint in a few places, but most things are just better powdered, in my opinion, i heard good things about jrk5892 and his partner sean at thepowderpro.com, thats why i just ordered some rocker boxes and a derby cover from them
