Default Dyna Fat Bob

I am looking into getting a bigger bike. Right now I am riding a 01 Sporty 883.
I love my sporty it's not going anywhere actually thinking about doing the 1200 conversion after I get me something bigger. i like the way the fat Bob feels when I am on it. I feel really comfortable. I like the forward controls on them. I can stretch my legs out on long rides. My brother has a softtail custom but when I am on it I feel all cramped up. You other fat Bob Riders how do you like the ride with them?

I am debating the same thing right now. Either upgrade my 2009 Iron or trade it in on a Fat Bob. I am 5'6 and not sure if the forward controls will be a issue and I love the Iron but looking for more power and something I can take on longer trips next year.

I almost pulled the trigger on a 2009 Fat Bob on friday just dont know if I will regret it.

I love mine. I am sat on a few bikes before ending up on the FatBob; there was no bike that fit me as well.

(If either of you guys are interested, I am selling mine on here; less than 700 miles. I moved out of Connecticut and couldn't take it with me.)

After looking at Sportys, Dynas, and a Night Train I ended up with my Fat Bob and could not be happier! The stock bars and forward controls fit me perfectly. It is very comfortable around town, and for longer runs. I also like the fact that I haven't seen too many on the road around here either. Go to the dealer and demo one, let us know what you think!

Being you love your sporty wouldn't it be better to save your money till you can pay cash for a BT and not pay interest?

After all you have a bike and your riding now.

Why dump money into an engine build if you want to move up to a BT?

I 5'9" and have sat on a Fat Bob the foward controls are too far for me. Sitting on a softail deluxe the reach is not as far so the bike fits well. So you have to go with what feels right to you.

I got me a Fat Bob at the begining of august and it fits me very comfortable, i'm 6'1" and can get really comfy on it, wether its around town or long hauls, i put about 3k on it already and enjoyed all of them. I was looking into an Iron 883 as I like the looks of it, but its too cramped up for me, couldn't get comfortable on it, went around the show room and it was between a fat boy low and the fat bob. choices were made and not regreting any of it! but all and all it's a personal preference and you're paying for it....

The Fat Bob was the only Harley I wanted based on looks, brakes, and meaty tires. Never even sat on any other Harley before or after. I totally love this bike. I am 5' 10" and the forward controls fit perfectly. The seat is pretty comfortable for a stocker. I get all kinds of looks and compliments. My fiancee loves it as well. You cannot go wrong with this bike...

Default Got a test ride set up

Yea. I got a test ride set up in a week or so. I won't be purchasing til after the new year. Gotta pay off the 3/4 ton Chevy So I can pay cash for the new bike. I rode a Super glide while at bike week in Daytona earlier this year. Had forward controls on it. I liked it real well. had plenty of power. but something keeps pulling back to the Fat Bob. I think it is the beefer tire setup and the risers with drag bar that make them look mean and nasty.

I've had my Fat Bob since November 2007. I'm enjoying it immensely.

I'm 5'11.5" and the forward controls work for me. I demoed one with mid controls that worked for me as well. If I were 5'6" I would definitely sit on one, test ride one. . . I'm not sure the Fat Bob is the best choice.

The ride can be very good indeed. I'm happy with the stock shocks, at the next to softest setting they work very well for me (220 pounds). It handles really well, I'd say it's about 90% the handling of the best handling bikes I've experienced. I was happy with the stock seat for around town, but I've two other seats that I like better. I like hard seats for comfort, the stock one is not hard enough for me. It's not very good for any passenger I've had try it either.

The tires are a great size for a smooth ride that is not phased by bumps and holes that give other tires pause. Not sure they're the very best tires for strong crosswinds, but I'm pretty happy overall with the tires.

The motor is the most exciting and powerful motor I've ever sat on top of. Man I love the torque and the vibe. I now drive in lower gears and higher revs than I did before, which I feel gives me better control over the stop and go of the bike. And brings excitement. I've ridden over 12,000 miles since the beginning of May. I'm INTO it! I think those who love Sportsters will appreciate the Fat Bob (or other Dyna Glides.)

I've taken the time and money this year to sort of make it my own, and I'm glad I have!

Nice handling (mainly due to the steeper forks) if you don't mind the slightly European look. I didn't.
