Well I just installed the exhaust and performed the 1000 miles service on my 2010 Street Bob. I want to install black handle bars and was orginally leaning towards a drag bar set-up but my buddy said the bike is a bobber and it needs ape's. Iam up in the air with what I want on it. I was looking at a set up with 14in apes or even a 16in apes but that might be to much. The bike comes stock with 12in mini apes and iam 5' 11"
What is everyones opinon on drag vs apes on a street bob. I know it is all on what I want to do but I just want to see what others think?
Thanks
Erik
Honestly it's what you like better!! These SB's look kick *** with drags and with apes. I think all the time about buying another SB and put drags on it, so I have both, but the wife will kill me. So Apes was my first choice!!
the street bobs look nasty with ape hangers, I was going to get street slammers but I am glad I went this direction instead. Now I will go with the 21" wheel but I dont know if i want to rake the bike to give it that slick look or just stay with the 29 degree rake.

I think both options look good, both changes the entire perception of the bike. I have always had drags on my former bikes, got the street bob, and i am never going back to drags. (hmm, that felt a bit odd to write...) with dragbars i feel like im sitting on top of the bike, it feels more sporty and you can be more aggresive in the turns. With apehangers it´s more like youre sitting in the bike, and personally i don´t drive the same way with apes = a little slower in highwayspeeds and not so quick in the turns. Apehangers wins both look and comfort if you ask me. But pure driveability goes to the dragbar.
I think either can look good. With apes as long as the base width matches the width of the trees then I like them. I don't like apes that are wider at the base then the trees. I think it looks out of place.
