I also have a severe neck injury. My neck is actually benefitting from riding without a shield. Trains the supporting musculature.

But I wish I had a shield a couple of months ago when I hit a BIG flying insect head on. It was filled with about 300 eggs, all smelly. Most of it hit my face. I took me a week to get rid of the smell.

I also hate the way most of them look, especially mine but I like seeing the bugs go over my head instead of into my face so it stays.

Yepper, different strokes for different folks.

If I ride without the windscreen, the air pressure pushes back the half helmet and it feels like a parachute pulling my head back. Windscreen makes the ride much more comfortable. More so in cold weather.

Never had a windshield in the last 20 years or so. I can tell I'm getting old...love my windshield now.

If you rode here in Tennessee without a windshield you would be covered with more bug splatter than you could ever imagine, usually when I get home my windshield looks like it went through a war..I recently found out how butterflies got their name..when they hit your windshield they look like a stick of butter..

I don't like the taste of bugs very much.At least not a force feeding of them anyway.

i think its a genetic condition. some of us just can't stand windshields. they drive me batty i want to rip em off and ride free.

but the fairing on my sportbike is totally different. that thing cuts the wind like mad. absolutely a dream to ride. quiet as hell. 100+mph with no pressure on the helmet or chest.

Well this is first day impressions of that windshield, the ride in (wearing my bacalva and a skid lid, leather uppers and just my carhart pants) I was thinking what is up with this shizit, I am 5’7” and the top of that new WS is right at eye height so I am seeing that yellow line like I did back in the 70’s(ol Tim Leary would have been jealous of the results) so down the road about 10 miles I stopped and raised it,
