lower your windshield down a little so you look rite over it instead of thru it.. the windsheild doesnt block the wind from coming strait at you,it directs the wind up and over/around you

We all march to a different beat. For years wanted nothing to do with windshields, because of the bikes we were riding Superglides and Choppers. Now it's baggers, and shields just look right. After riding all day feel much more relaxed.

I personally hate windshield wipers, so I am glad to report that, thanks to nanotechnology advances, Italian car designer Leonardo Fioravanti has developed a prototype concept car, Hidra, with a self-cleaning windshield that doesn’t need wipers. It can brush away water and dirt by itself.

You have to mod the bike for a windshield to look good 7" Fatboy headlight and a band saw did the trick for me.

I hate windshields too, until you've been hit in the face by a dragonfly riding Florida in the summer, you learn to appreciate a detachable...

I hate 'em too but sometimes, you just gotta have one.

But they make the bike's handling a little different, they look like hell, and mine creates a whistling noise in my right ear that I can't figure out. Thought maybe it was the loose threads on my thirty year old helmet, trimmed and burnt them, no help. Bought another helmet, no help. Trimmed my ear hairs (family curse, convinced there was a lycanthrope in the wood shed somewhere), no help. Gonna try ear plugs next. Don't like them either.

But what I REALLY hate is when I lose all the feeling in my face and neck when it's cold, getting caught in a Florida downpour (you've never been in a downpour until you've been in a Florida downpour) in the Summer with no overpasses, bridges or anything else to hide under, and no restaurants, bars, gas stations or anything else to take refuge in -- Like on Alligator Alley or US 41 headed to the Keys. Both of which pass through the Everglades. Didja know? There's lots of bugs in the 'Glades. Even in the middle of January.

Yeah, I hate windshields too. But the alternative is sometimes a lot worse.

Wouldn't want one on the bike all the time, but having a Q/R one works for me. Long runs on the highway at 75 - 80 mph can be pretty brutal w/o one. Mine's a little different setup than most. It's a H-D low-profile Q/R, but that was too low, as the wind was blasting me right at eye level. Bought this thing called a 'laminar lip'. It's a molded piece of lexan that attaches to the main shield at the top. Works well to move the wind up over my head. Only added maybe an inch to the overall height of the shield, so the top is still down below my line of sight, but it works pretty damned well. For any sailors out there, it essentially works like a jib.

Never had one. Never wanted one. Lots of bugs, lots of rain, lots of cold, hell, I can take it. If I wanted a car I'd buy one.

First thing I did to my Heritage was take off the windsheild. Then after a little over a year of getting exhausted from fighting the wind I put it back on for a trial run. Hasn't been back off since. It makes highway speeds much more comfortable. And I like hearing the exhaust I paid good money for.
