If the helmet on the ground in front of the scoot is yours....the wind you are feeling in your face is probably a figment of your imagination.
yeah the helmet on the ground is mine as was the windshield that was on the bike. like I said we were on a 1600 mile cruise. that helmet is of just one of seven I have. Whats your point?
...the whole purpose of riding is to get the wind in your face...
That is not everyone's purpose for riding. If I wanted wind in my face, I could have my wife drive the car and I could hang my head out the passenger window like a dog. The reasons I ride have nothing to do with wind.
I have a QD on mine but never take it off. It never gets too cold here but the biggest issue is the wind over 75 MPH. You spend some much energy hanging on, the fun can be taken out of the ride. Every bike I ever owned had one at some point.
I recently installed the Slipstreamer HD-0 Mini Police. Not a giant intrusive windshield, and fairly well made. Pretty easy to adjust to exactly where you want it as well. Its more of a bug squasher than a cold weather shield.
None of you, I guess have ridden in and around the Outer Banks, also named "Bugg Alley". Any time in any direction I'll get hit by draggon fly's, and millions of what they call Currituck bugg's. More or less look like Popeye with fire ants in the pants.
I just don't like a hurricane hitting me in the chest every time I get above 60 mph. I bought one after having to pull off the road because I was to tired to hold on to grips any longer. I will never take it off.
