Default Screaming Eagle Heavy Breather Install

I was installing the screaming eagle heavy breather kit on my 2010 Fat Bob and when removing the stock air cleaner I notice there was a small plug/wire attached. The new heavy breather air cleaner has no spot I can see for it is it fine to leave it unattached?

Great news! I was wondering if I had a problem or not I installed the heavy breather and tear drop cover it wasn't to hard but I keep looking at the sticking wire hanging there.

I think you are going to need the eliminator plug for that otherwise the ECU will still be reading the sensor and thinking there is low air flow and adjust the mixture accordingly. I needed it when I did the stage-1 on my UK bike.

I have did some reading and my understanding is the without installing a eliminator plug you could have some ECU trouble codes show up time to time. I might go ahead and order one just to be safe does anyone know where to buy one?

I tied it up and rode for a hour this morning engine runs smoother than it did with the stock air cleaner. I am not seeing even adding the down load right now the way it runs why even mess with anything is my thought. Thanks for rhe help!

Do you have aftermarket exhaust or have you removed the catalytic converters or changed your exhaust in any way?

If you have, you need to re-think your tuning options, IMHO. And also, if you have, you seriously need to reconsider if you were thinking a dealer 'download' will help you.

I have the screaming eagle exhaust and my bob would shake a whole lot since I have owned it. Today after the HB install it runs smooth.
