2010 DWG here....got a quick detach windshield. Head vibrating (buffeting problem I guess), and rough ride (vibrating bike).
Took the baffles out of the RUsh's and that's when I noticed the rougher ride....is this the cause?
The quick detach windshield has been a problem from the start....there is NO correct height for this thing, what do I do? My head is killin me every time I ride! I know use the f-in search function, I did and can't find much...thanks guys and girls for any help....Jon
I had the same problem with my sportster. I bought some used softail wind deflectors and mounted them on my windshield. Most of the buffeting disappeared. Puchased a Laminar Lip deflector for the windshield itself and that took care of wind over the top buffeting my helmet.
My Dyna has the same problem. Right now, I am running my Memphis shades Demon handlebar mount windshield with homemade wind deflectors mounted to MS lowers brackets. I had a head buffet problem before, now, it is pretty smooth air. Still a little buffeting over the top of the ws. Also, I have a Memphis Shades Fats which I am playing with trying to get a good height. I am bidding on ebay right now for some softail lowers which i am going to attache to the MS Fats brackets so that it all comes off together.
I also had highway bars and covers I used on my sporty. Not sure if I want to go that route with my Dyna.
Looking for pics and I will post some as soon as I find them.
