On my last trip....two and a half weeks ride in AZ, CA, and NV....I had to put sunscreen on the UNDERSIDE of my chin and neck because of all the reflected sunlight from the tank and dash and other chrome kukai. It also was annoying to be getting flashes at critical times in corners. I'd do it in black matte finish, if you plan to ride it a lot during the day. Chrome shows you up nicely at night. Looks cooler than a bunch of reflectors.

Don't mean to change the topic, but our west coast ride this year was CA, AZ and NV also. Wish we had as much time as you, but we only had 5 days of riding. Awesome roads, weather and people.
